Getting so Big!

A new way for Tummy Time

Everyday Parker gets better and better at holding his head up, however, he hates tummy time. All he does when we lay him on his tummy is rub his face in the blanket. So I researched some exercises you can do with your baby to make their neck stronger. Most nights before bath time we play in his room and do his exercises. He loves the interaction! He also laughed for the fist time this week!! It was the cutest sound ever! I love having one on one with my little guy. I can already tell in one week that he is much stronger!
He wasn't to keen on this bumbo chair about a month ago now he is getting the hang of it!

Playing airplane!

Yea...I know I am cute! ;)

Our little Ranger Fan!

Parker received his first Texas Rangers hat from Lorie and Eddie when he was born. At that time it was way too big. It now fits him and is adorable! To go along with the hat he received his first Texas Rangers t-shirt from his DeDe and Grandmother. So one day I decked him out in his Ranger gear along with his new Nike tennis shoes from his GiGi! He looked like a little toddler. Matt was so proud of his outfit! He always tells me how he can't wait to teach Parker how to throw a baseball!

He seemed to think he was cute that morning too because he couldn't stop smiling! ;)

The Magic Chair

This is Parker's high chair but we also like to call it his magic chair. You see his poops have become less frequent as he has gotten older. He can go 2 to 3 days without pooping. However, every night while I am cooking Parker sits in his high chair and watches me cook. He loves this chair! I guess he feels so comfortable in it that almost every time he is in it he relieves himself! It is the funniest thing too because he will make noises and his face will turn beat red. So now if I feel like it has been too long between poops I will just sit him in his magic chair and wait for it to come. Only once has it been so explosive that we had a huge mess. Yes I do think it's odd that he chooses his high chair (soon to be his eating chair) to do his business, but hey whatever works!! ;)

The Big 3!

Yesterday Parker turned 3 months old! Time has really gone by fast. It just seems like yesterday I was coming home from the hospital with him. Every week he seems to do something new. He is now sucking his thumb, cooing and smiling ALOT!! He is the most happy baby I think I have ever seen. I am not saying that just because he is my child, he truly is a happy baby all around. He seems to be doing great at GiGi's and Grandmothers house during the week. I am sure they spoil him all day! We didn't have a doctors appointment this month so I have been weighing him at home...he is now 14lbs!

Yesterday we started the day by just relaxing and cuddling in bed together.

Hanging out in Mom and Dad's bed

Then we went to have lunch with Aunt Olivia in Grapevine. She couldn't believe how much he grew this past month. After that we met Dad at the bank to surprise him. We then spent the afternoon in Grapevine running some errands. By the time we got home we were all tired. So we took a little nap. Isn't this picture sweet...I had no idea Matt took this until we woke up!

Then of course we had to take our monthly chair pictures!

Our little guy is going bald on top ;(. I just wonder if all his hair will fall out or just whats on top?

Happy 3 months Parker. You are a true blessing to Mommy and Daddy!! We love you very much!!!

Our new schedule...

Well, Monday I started back to work. ;(

I pretty much cried off and on all day Sunday not wanting to leave my baby. I knew that he was going to be in EXCELLENT hands with lots of love but it was still going to be hard not to be with him all day. So Monday morning came along and it was so hard getting up to feed Parker at 6 and not being able to go back to sleep. Every morning while I was off I would feed him and then his morning nap would be our time to cuddle. That is the part I miss the most!!

Now it is Saturday...I survived! Every day did get a little easier. I was busy at work trying to get back in the swing of things, organizing my desk, and doing some training. By five o' clock I was ready to see my baby!! Thanks to everyone for your thoughts and prayers as our family gets back into the swing of things and used to a new schedule.

Speaking of a schedule, I have Parker on one that has worked out great! I feed him in the morning, and then he gets 2 bottles at GiGi's house or Grandmother's house (Matt's Mom), and then I feed him right when I pick him up and once more before bed. I am hoping we can continue this schedule for awhile so that I can keep breastfeeding him. He also is sleeping through the night!!! Yea!!

Some new things Parker is doing:

-cooing and smiling back at us

-holding his head up a lot more

-sleeping without being swaddled

-noticing the TV more and more

-sucking on his thumb (sometimes his whole fist) ;)

I can't believe my baby is almost 3 months old...when Mom's tell you the newborn stage flies by they are not kidding!!
