Pregnancy does funny things!

In the last couple of months I have noticed some significant changes about me that I find interesting and funny.
1. I get EXTREMELY hot...I used to freeze all the time to where I would have my floor heater on at work during the hot summer days!
2. My hair hardly sheds anymore. I used to have to sweep up the bathroom floor every couple of days.
3. Since being pregnant I don't have to shave my legs nearly as much. Maybe it has to do with not being cold all the time...who knows?!
4. My laugh has become very strange! When I laugh it sounds like a bark and then it makes me laugh harder! My husband and my co-workers find it very funny!
5. I surprisingly have not been an emotional mess like I thought I would be through these 9 months...I guess it's a relief from all those years on birth control! ;) I have been quite happy!

I am now 35 weeks and getting VERY anxious! Each baby I hold I think of how close I am to holding my own! I go to the doctor on Friday to get "checked" and to do my Hep B test so pray that everything goes OK. My schedule is clear, my bags are packed and the room is ready...all I need is my sweet baby! Thank you all for you love and support through this exciting time of our lives!

April Showers bring May...Babies?? ;)

Saturday I had my last shower before Morgan or Parker arrives into this world. My Mom's sweet neighbors Lorie and Beverly planned the shower and did an excellent job! We had a wonderful brunch, played a game and opened presents. It was so nice to see many of my friends Mom's come together for such a happy occasion. Baby Ferrell received so many gifts we are now ready for him/her to arrive!! The room is pretty much done, clothes and blankets are washed...now it's the countdown to see if Morgan or Parker will arrive in May or June.

My wonderful hostesses, Beverly and Lorie!

The food was delicious!

Mardie, Sarah, my Aunt Sharon, Martha and Jane

Aunt Teresa, Nana, my Mom, Me, Aunt Lisa and Aunt Sharon...they are all so excited to have a new baby in the family! Aunt Teresa and Nana thinks it's a girl and Aunt Sharon thinks it's a boy ;)...we will see which one is right very soon!

Me with all the baby's goodies!!!

There are times when Matt and I get really nervous about becoming a parents and knowing what to do...and there are times when we get really anxious for Morgan or Parker to hurry up and get here so we can finally meet our baby's sweet face. We know these last few weeks are going to be full of emotions and we just have to remember that God will give us the guidance to be good parents and the patience to wait for the perfect day for our baby to join us!

32 week checkup

Today was my 32 week checkup with Dr. Atkins. I am going every week now to monitor my blood pressure. I was really worried this morning that it was going to be a little high again and that he would put me on restrictions. I prayed and prayed on the way to the doctor's that everything would turn out normal...and it DID!! My blood pressure was normal and the baby's weight is right on target. We had an ultrasound just to make sure the baby was growing at a normal pace. He/She weighs 3 lbs. and 14 oz. and is 16 1/2 inches long. It was really hard to see the whole baby on the screen because it's more and more squished as he/she grows! The lady did mention that our child had very big feet! I laugh because I have tiny feet but Matt wears a size 12...so the baby is not taking after me in that area! The baby is already head down so I am sure I will be getting kicked harder and harder in the ribs as those feet grow ;) I was very pleased with today's appointment let's just hope and pray they continue that way! Matt and I have our birthing class on Saturday so I am sure that will make me even more anxious for the baby to get here!

My First Shower!!

My weekend started off with my college friends coming into town from Houston, Plano, and Austin! Three of us are prego right now...Emily 27 weeks, Me 30 weeks and Sarah 34 weeks. Olivia and I made Emily and Sarah these diaper cakes for Annabel and Caleb...little did I know she made baby Ferrell one too!! ;) So here is the 3 of us showing off our diaper cakes!
Annabel Rose Roberts, Parker or Morgan Ferrell, and Caleb Jackson Domino
Saturday was my first shower hosted by my sister in law Keirstin (left), my other sister in law Kathy (middle) and Olivia (right). They did a wonderful job planning the day!
Olivia made a "blessing tree" for Baby Ferrell. Everyone wrote a blessing to us and placed it on the tree. It was such a cute idea! Now we will have every one's blessings to share with Morgan or Parker when they get older.
The cake is a funny story. When Olivia and Sarah went to pick it up it had the "yellow dress" shown in the picture on top of the cake. It looked like a piece of lingerie with huge breasts instead of a "pregnant lady". They stopped in Tom Thumb on the way to the shower to see if anyone could help them. This sweet lady helped them make the cake look adorable with the stork that is on top of the cake! I am sure at the time they didn't think it was too funny but hearing the story after the fact to me was hilarious!
I had lots of goodies to open!!

The M&M outfit from GiGi

The Boppy from Olivia...these are only a couple (the other pictures of me opening gifts did not turn out so well of me, but I thank each and everyone of you for every gift we received!!!)
All of my sweet friends that came to celebrate Baby Ferrell!

My Mom, my Nana (the only grandparent our child will ever know), Me and Baby Ferrell! IF Baby Ferrell turns out to be Morgan then it's 4 generations in this picture!! How cool is that?!

My wonderful photographer Ami!! Also that one who potty trained me at 2! Ha!

The proud Grandmothers!!

The 3 Prego's again!

It was a wonderful weekend hanging out with my girls and getting prepared for Baby Ferrell's arrival...now it's only a matter of weeks until the real fun begins!! I go to the doctor on Tuesday for an ultrasound so I will post the results next week of my progress.
