Hugs and Kisses!

Saturday Ami and Heather had a little hugs and kisses party for Parker. It was so nice to hang out with family and friends. Parker just slept the whole time even when his friends were trying to play! Thanks girls for a wonderful day!!

Nana's Tea Room

Nana had me, my Mom and Parker over for lunch after Parker's doctors appointment. It was so nice...she made homemade chicken salad served over lettuce, peach tea and a delicious fruit jello for dessert. Aunt Gladys and her daughter, Faye joined us as well. Thanks Nana for a wonderful lunch!!

I just love that precious face!

One Month Checkup

Parker had his one month checkup yesterday. He did very good considering they gave him a shot. He only cried right when she stuck him and then I scooped him up and he was fine. He took it like a man ;). Parker weighs 9.5lbs and is 21 1/2 inches long. He is a growing boy!!
I was so happy that he gained weight because these past two weeks I was strictly breastfeeding with no bottles. My pump broke so I managed to do without until I got the new part.
While we were there Parker managed to go through 3 diapers and he peed all over the mirror (see it on the paper he is laying on...it was like a fountain ;)
Getting weighed
Right as the shot was going in...poor little guy!!
I also had my 4 week checkup with Dr. Atkins and everything looked great. I am cleared for another year. It will be weird not going to the doctor every month!

Happy Father's Day!

It was Matt's 1st Father's Day and we had a great time just relaxing around the house together. Around 4:00 we decided to go to the Oasis for dinner. Eating out by the lake made me feel like I was on vacation! Parker got his Daddy a picture of them for his desk, some clothes and sandals. It was a great day!

One Month Old!

Our little boy is one month old today! I can't believe how fast this month has flown by...
My friend Emily had her little girl today and it made me want to re-live that day all over again! I know you are probably thinking "is she crazy?" Usually it takes Mom's a lot longer to forget the pain of labor. As I think back I think the last month of pregnancy was harder for me than the actual labor. If you watch my labor video I am actually laughing (of course after my epidural) right before Parker enters the world! I truly believe I had the best labor experience and would do it all over again in a heartbeat! Having a child is the BEST blessing God can give two people and we can't wait to experience "life" with our son. Thank you God for allowing us to become parents...there is nothing else like it! Happy One Month Parker...we love you!!

He was smiling at his Daddy!

Parker's funny face!

This is the way he loves to sleep...with one arm up. He looked so peaceful I had to take a picture!

Twinkies!

Heather and Brooks have been in town for the past two weeks and we have had a great time hanging out! It is hard right now with the boys being different ages for us to go out and do a whole lot but it has been nice seeing them for a little bit each day. Brooks already loves his friend Parker, he always points to him and wants to touch him. Heather bought the boys these matching outfits so we had to take some pictures!

I think Brooks is trying to tell Parker: "It's OK Bud we will get through this"! Ha!

The Twinkies! Yes even their paci's are the same!

We are so glad you guys are back in Texas!!!

Rub a Dub Dub...

Parker was finally able to take a "real" bath this week! His umbilical cord fell off Wednesday night. GiGi came over to help give him his first bath. She did such a good j0b with him because he hated it at first!! GiGi was able to calm him down and relax him. He ended up sleeping SO good that night! Thanks GiGi for making it a good night for all of us!! ;)

Parker is 3 weeks old!

We can't believe that Parker is already 3 weeks old...it seems like he just arrived! I went to have him weighed this week and he gained 6 ounces, so he weighs 7.10oz now. I was hoping feeding him every 2 hours was working...getting up in the middle of the night is not easy!! I can't wait until I can start letting him sleep through the night. Parker has been quite the trooper, I pretty much just load him up in the car and take him with me on any errands I need to run. He does great in fact, I don't even think he realizes we are gone ;). I am sure it will all change in a couple of months. Here are some pictures from this week...

He loves his Uncle Clint!

Bath time is still a little rough since he can't have a "real" bath...still waiting on his cord to fall off!

My "one eyed" guy...he loves to look out of just one eye if he is sleepy.

I love that sweet face!!!!

Rolo and Parker...he doesn't know what to think ;)

Buddies

Parker has had some of his buddies visit him this week. Heather and Brooks are in town so they came over to hang out with us. We had to be quick taking this picture because Brooks doesn't sit still for long ;) He liked his new friend!
On Friday Linda, Amanda and Audrey came over to hang out. Audrey and Parker are exactly 3 months and one day apart. Aren't they so cute...it looks like Parker is trying to hold Audrey's hand!
The new Mommy's together!

Family Time

GiGi's birthday was May 31st so we went out as a family to Uncle Julio's in Fort Worth. It was Parker's first restaurant outing! As you can see he never knew we were away from the house ;) Happy Birthday GiGi!!

These past 2 weeks have been great having the 3 of us home together. It gave Matt time to bond with Parker before he had to go back to work. He fed Parker his morning bottle and by the time Parker was done he would be wide awake so they would just hang out. In the afternoon's sometimes I would find them like this...Parker loves his Daddy!
