Christmas night we headed over to the Vaccaro's house to eat dinner, watch a movie and spend the night. We watched "The Help"...great movie!

Christmas Morning Part 2

Round 2 on Christmas morning! Our old tradition (before kids) was to alternate Christmas morning between our house and my parents house. Now that the boys are with us we have everyone over to our house. Matt cooked a fabulous breakfast, we opened gifts and enjoyed each others company.

And we begin our Christmas events!! First, Christmas with the Ferrell's! We always go to Matt's parents for Christmas Eve. The kids run around and play, the adults eat and chat and then we open presents which is usually mass chaos :) Everyone had a great time!

Christmas Baking

Parker loves to pretend cook! In the mornings he likes to watch his Daddy cook him Bacon, Eggs and Toast. On the few days I had off with my kiddos, one of those days we spent baking! Parker and I had so much fun together. Here he is making me some breakfast! Yum! :)

We also started a tradition of baking Jesus a birthday cake! We talked about why we celebrate Christmas the whole month so he was very excited to make Jesus a cake!

He thought it was so cool that I wrote on the cake. Happy Birthday Jesus!

I love that we started these traditions...the holidays are so much fun!

Pierce is 8 months!

8 months...REALLY? I was asking myself the other day..."How come when babies are in the womb it seems like FOREVER for 9 months to come and go?" "But when the baby arrives time FLIES???" That is exactly how I feel. It seems like yesterday we were bringing this sweet baby home.

Pierce is seriously the smiliest baby and we love it!! Of course he can get madder than a hornets nest but there are always tons of smiles to follow! He crawls everywhere and is fast! His big brother loves that he crawls so he can lure him in a room and shut the door. We have to rescue him because who knows what would happen! Pierce is starting to learn if Parker does something to him he will cry and look at me like "are you going to do something about it?"

Pierce has 4 teeth with more on the surface. This has caused him to be cranky and wanting his Mama. The holidays were a little trying at times but we made it! Now that he has teeth he is loving feeding himself. He will eat black beans, cheese, peas, peaches, puffs, mum mums, cheerios, eggs and today I made the mistake of giving him a very small piece of goldfish. He was following me around the house wanting more! :) I offer a sippy cup every now and then at dinner and he will drink out of it however, he still loves his bottle and nursing before bedtime. Speaking of nursing, I am still trying to hold on until he is one with the morning and night feedings but he is starting to bite...hard. So we will see how long I can last. Those teeth are SHARP!

He can say "Mama and Dada". This week he has started pulling up on the couch and ottoman. I have a feeling it won't be long before he is walking. I attribute it all to watching his big brother.

Parker's Christmas Program

RCCA put on a Christmas program for the parents and it was absolutely precious!! Parker loved being the center of attention! Here he is coming in just noticing Matt, GiGi and me.

He was so proud that we were there he shouted "That's my Daddy" to a stranger! :)

We weren't sure how he would do up on stage but he performed like a champ! I was laughing so hard at him dancing away!

While he was dancing he spotted his Muhney (Matt's Mom) and shouted "Hey Muhney"! :)

Parker's Christmas Party

I was determined to go to Parker's Christmas party since I missed his Thanksgiving feast. So I took my lunch hour to go and loved every minute!

I was SO proud of my boys for sitting on Santa's lap and not throwing a fit! Pierce just loved Mrs. Clause! I thought this was a great "1st Christmas Santa" picture!

Parker had already sat on Santa's lap at school so he had practice! :) I think having Mrs. Clause on the scene is a great idea for little ones who might now sit on Santa's lap!

I took Pierce away and then Parker started talking to Santa!! This Santa and Mrs. Clause were so sweet to my boys and took their time!

Reindeer Food!

I wanted to feel like a SAHM for a day, so I took the day off to bake and take the kids to see Santa! I loved every minute of it! It's funny how before kids I savored all my vacation days for actual vacations...now I just love to take days here and there to stay home with my boys!!

Parker is VERY independent these days! So I thought he would enjoy helping me bake some treats for his pre-school class. It's called Reindeer Food and it is super easy and yummy! 3 ingredients...Chex mix, vanilla baking chips and crushed peppermints!

I said "Parker, tell Mommy your done". I got this...too cute!

The finished product. I am so upset I didn't take a picture of the cute peppermint bags I put them in. I filled them with the reindeer food and plain M&M's, tied a peppermint cane around it and put a peppermint tag on it and wrote "Merry Christmas". It was a fun project for Mommy and Mr. P!

Is Christmas really here so soon?! This year I have tried really hard to not look ahead each week knowing Christmas will be here before we know it. I really want to enjoy this Christmas season with my kids and begin new traditions! This year Parker is really starting to understand Christmas and loves all the lights! We have tried to teach him the meaning of Christmas and why we celebrate. In turn he says all the presents under the tree are for Jesus because it's his birthday! :)

Let me just say it took me 2 HOURS to get this picture! I saw this picture on a blog and wanted to see what our camera could do. I have never really explored the options our camera had so it was cool to see the different shots I could take, but also somewhat frustrating. I was happy and called it a night when I shot this pic!

I found these adorable pj's on Personal Creations.com and thought I might as well let them wear the cute pj's before they grew out of them. They loved them!

A couple of nights we have loaded up the boys to go look at Christmas lights. Matt took Parker to see his first movie, the Muppet's. Parker sat on Santa's lap with a SMILE at school! He also has his Christmas program this week. So much fun stuff...I love this time of year!!

I know I am so late on this post...the holidays keep us busy busy! Mr. Pierce-y is at such a FUN age!! He smiles all the time especially at his Big Brother! He yells when he wants attention and is starting to crawl....

My handsome man LOVES his food! He can't wait for dinner time so he can eat his broccoli, green beans, carrots or sweet potatoes. He also loves pears and applesauce. Recently, I have been giving him Puffs so he can start learning how to feed himself. Puffs and baby Mum Mum's are among his favorite! He literally grabs them out of my hand! Pierce has finally mastered sitting up on his own! That new milestone has started a new routine in our house, because now the boys can take a bath together instead of separate! This saves so much time, plus they love to play and splash!

See those pearly whites?! Yea...those suckers hurt! I am still trying to hang on nursing him at morning and night, but sometimes if I am not paying attention he will bite. We have had a couple of rounds where I yell, he cries and then I cry. That bottom lip gets me every time...I have a feeling with his smile and bottom lip turned down when he's upset is going to work to his advantage someday. :)

P's First Tooth!

Pierce now has teeth!! His first one popped through at the beginning of November and the 2nd bottom one has already popped through as well. I know getting teeth is painful so I have to say he was a tropper. He woke up just a few times during the night and still was his happy little self.

He loves to blow bubbles!

There's that pretty smile! No more gummy smiles for this little guy :( He's growing up way too fast!!

Halloween 2011

Halloween 2011 was a little crazy! First, Matt and I BOTH had jury duty that day which ended up being a whole day event. I was the "lucky" one...(not) to get called back a 2nd day. So after that not so fun stuff we rushed home to get the boys ready for trick or treating.

GiGi and her boys! She got them cute little goodie bags with toys, candy and Elmo balloons! Pierce even got a new teether! They loved it!

Aunt Tre Tre was able to come by to see the boys all dressed up and to trick or treat my parents neighborhood.

Parker was so excited to get candy and did great on my parents street. Once it got dark and we went to Matt's parents house he got a little scared. I ended up staying inside with the boys while everyone else went out for candy. Maybe next year we will have better luck!

All 8 cousins (minus Drew)...first time all together in awhile!

After the kids return from trick or treating they always dump their buckets to check out their candy. Parker soon caught on and did the same!

1st Annual Pumpkin Carving Day!

Matt and Parker started a new tradition this year...carving a pumpkin! It was so funny so I got lots of pictures and video to capture Parker's first pumpkin!

Matt taught Parker to say "Taking the guts out!" He wasn't so sure about getting dirty but he endured the mess until I wiped his hands! :)

Our little Hamburger

First of all, Parker LOVES his pre-school. He has learned so much since starting at RCCA and has had the best time. We are lucky too because his teacher Ms. Katie is best friends with Amanda (Audrey's Mom)...so we get to see pictures of his day sometimes! Thanks Amanda for letting me "take" these pictures! :) Love them!

Parker dressed up as a Hamburger this year. It was hilarious!! He was all excited the night before school to dress in his costume. When we got to school and got out of the car he wanted nothing to do with it until he saw other kids dressed up. We thought that was hilarious! Here he is with his class trick or treating other classrooms.

2011 Pumpkin Patch

Every year since Parker was born we have been going to this pumpkin patch. This year was so much fun because he actually knew what a pumpkin patch was! Thanks to his Elmo movies!

We have a hard time getting him to smile sometimes when he is too busy doing other things! Ha!

I love that they have this every year so that we can see how much are boys are growing! Parker is 2 years and 5 months in the top picture and in the bottom picture he is 5 months.

Pierce can't really sit up yet so it was hard to get his picture. Plus, it was getting hot outside! Only in Texas is anyone sweating at the end of October!

6 months.....really??! Yes we have a blond hair blue eyed boy on our hands!! We just hope his eyes stay that color!!! You are asking yourself how? Matt was blond when he was young and my grandfather on my Dad's side was blue eyed! So yes it can happen! :)

Oh I just LOVE that smile of his...I squeeze those cheeks everyday! He is a happy baby and gives lots of smiles and laughs! I am sure one day he will use his cute smile to his advantage! :)

Below is Parker at 6 months...now I will officially agree that my children look nothing alike!!

This sweet boy rolls all over the place! I can put him down run into the other room and when I come back he is on the opposite side of the room! Pierce weighs 18.5 lbs (75th%) and is 28.5 inches long(95%)! He has eaten carrots, cereal, pears, bananas and sweet potatoes! Boy does he love his food and if I try to eat first he throws a fit!

I wish I could say he sits up as good as he is in this picture but he hasn't mastered it quite yet. Pierce says DaDa, babbles alot and loves to blow bubbles!

Another thing he loves is these cute little toes! They must be a good teether because he chews on the all the time! Pierce also loves to give me big slobbery kisses...I will take all I can get! :)

World Series 2011

Matt, Shane and Don have been Cardinals fans since they lived in St. Louis when Matt was young. The night the Cardinals won the NCLS game Matt told me "You know I HAVE to see my favorite two teams play...this will never happen again". I agreed and sent him on a plane to St. Louis for Game 1!

They were freezing cold but had a great time!! What a awesome memory for them to share!

Even though our poor Rangers lost it was a great run! We are not a family that watches a lot of baseball games on TV but this World Series we were hooked! Maybe the 3rd time is charm...right Rangers??!! Congrats to the Cardinals!

RCCA Fall Festival

Parker's pre-school had their Annual Fall Festival last weekend. He had fun of course running around with his friend Audrey. They played in the bounce house, the playground and did a few games to earn candy.

I was really shocked that he actually went in the bounce house and bounced. Once he was in he didn't want to come out!

Audrey and Parker get to play together 3 days a week. Every time we get ready for school he says "Go see Audrey?" They play really well together, which Amanda and I have been friends since we were their age! Parker and Audrey will hopefully stay buds for a long time just like their Mommies!

New Mexico Trip - Part Three

This was the view from our house! It was so peaceful and relaxing! One day there were a ton of deer and Elk walking around in the back! All week we promised Parker we would take him to the playground so on the last day we finally went. He had a blast!!

He started out on this slide...just his size. Then he saw the one below...the little slide was history after one slide down the big one!

I bet he went down this thing no less than 40 times! By the end he was a pro going down himself!

New Mexico Trip - Part Two

We decided to spend one of our days in Taos, New Mexico. It was a fun little town...very different. We forgot a lot of things that day but we managed. A big one...Pierce's stroller. Good thing I could use the Baby Bjorn and Pierce didn't seem to mind either!

Parker loves to have his picture taken especially if he sees his brother taking one without him.

They had these random rides for kids like you find in front of grocery stores. Parker thought it was hilarious!

Happy 6 years to Us!

On September 24th we celebrated 6 years of marriage! We loved that we were able to celebrate the occasion in the mountains!

During the day we hung out with our boys at the house, and then that night we went to a nice quiet dinner at the bottom of the mountain while the boys stayed with GiGi and Papa!

The Roasted Clove was a very good choice!

Happy Anniversary to us! What a wonderful 6 years it has been. Alot of trips, parties, laughs, and two handsome healthy baby boys later...couldn't be happier!!

After dinner, around 6:30 we went back to the house to toast with a delicious chocolate dessert wine! We then mixed it with some ice cream...oh my goodness it was good! It was early but hey it's scary driving up the mountain in the dark! :) Oh yeah we "played puzzle" too. Love you babe...here's to many years to come!

New Mexico Trip - Part One

September 21st Me, Matt, the boys, GiGi and Papa left for Angel Fire, New Mexico! We couldn't wait to step into the cooler weather! On the way up we split the trip in half and stayed a night in Amarillo. For the most part the boys did great in the car! Thank goodness for DVD players and pacifiers!

We stopped in a little town called Stringer to walk around and fill up the cars. It was already gorgeous outside! I love this picture of my Dad, Parker and Matt.

Texas Reds was the restaurant Matt and I went to on our 2nd anniversary in Red River, so we wanted to eat there again this time.

Parker found a little girl who had one of these balloons at the festival and of course wanted his own. Thank goodness it was only $1...was the best $1 spent that day. It entertained him for hours! He kept wanting to show the little girl the one he got. He walked around saying "where baby go?"

Pierce is 5 months!!

I cannot believe that my baby boy is 5 months old!! Pierce is really growing and getting quite the personality. One thing is for sure...he LOVES to smile!

My baby boy loves to watch his big brother and laugh at him! At the beginning of the month he wasn't too good at eating from a spoon so we stopped the cereal until we got back from vacation. Sometimes he eats cereal or carrots at night, sometimes he doesn't.

He still sleeps most of the night. Occasionally he wakes himself up and has a hard time going back to sleep. I do enjoy our 5am cuddle/feeding time before our day gets started. Pierce is rolling all over the place...I feel like he will be on the move in no time! Alot of drooling but no teeth have popped through just yet. He loves to hold onto and grab toys surrounding him. He is spending more and more time in his exersaucer!

The Fam Babies!

My college friends and I have been trying to get all of our babies together for years now! Sarah and Emily decided to take a random trip up to Dallas in the middle of the week which allowed ALL of our kids to meet for the first time! :) Needless to say, it was one CRAZY 30 minutes...but worth it!!

I didn't really have a plan to start Pierce on baby food anytime soon, but I had some left over milk from a bottle that I didn't want to waste so I thought...why not?

...and he loved it!!

This guy wanted in on the occassion too. He begged me to take his picture and I couldn't resist this sweet smile! Parker also wanted a "bite" of Pierce's new food, so I offered it...(I am not a bad Mom I just wanted him to quit asking me and I knew if I gave him a bite he would...and it worked! Ha!)

Pierce is not upset because he didn't like it...he wanted more! My little piggy!

Unfortunately, the Texas heat has dried up all the lakes around here.

So no jet skiing or riding in the boat all summer. However, we did have fun indoors cooking, putting together puzzles, and watching movies.

Wow...can we say time flies?!! My baby boy is 4 months old! A few things about Pierce-y (Parker calls him "Piercey"). His smile is contagious!! He can make my worst day turn around with just his smile. He also loves to talk! If I am talking he will out "coo" me to get attention :) Pierce loves to be in the same room where the action is, sleeps in his swing or in the floor for nap time, sleeps 9-10 hours at night (happy mamma!), spits up all the time, and rolled over for the first time (stomach to back) on his 4 month birthday!

Soon we will start rice cereal, so we decided to get him used to sitting at the dinner table with us!

I think he is already starting to teethe, poor baby. He always has his hands or blanket in his mouth. Good thing they put Highlands teething tablets back on the shelf!

Oh his eyes! I know I am his Mamma and I am prejudice but his eyes are just beautiful! They probably will work against me when he is in trouble and bats them at me!

This is how things really are when trying to take a picture of both of them. The fighting has already started...I am in trouble!

Pierce went to the doctor today and he weighs 16.6lbs (75%) and is 27 inches long (95%)! He is a growing boy!

The Little Things about Parker

Parker is one funny little guy! He has his own way of doing things and is definitely becoming more independent! Lately, he enjoys making a pallet by his door when it's his bedtime. We think he likes being able to see us and hear us as he drifts off to sleep. We don't argue with him because he does lay down and eventually falls asleep. We then move him to his bed before we go to sleep and he is good for the rest of the night. I love how he makes his pallets just perfect ;)

Some of you found out about this on facebook but I just had to blog about it so I would forever remember. I came home from work one day and he literally had on 10 items of clothing on his bottom! I couldn't stop laughing because he couldn't even move. He just kept on handing my Mom more underwear to put on him. Obvious he thought it was funny too!

Here is is barely even sitting down...I took a picture of each layer as he took them off but obviously that would take up a lot of space on the blog :) The picture below is everything minus the diaper. Silly boy!

This month we moved Parker to his big boy seat at the dinner table. It makes me sad all the "big boy" changes we have had to make because it makes me realize just how big his getting. We drove through Chick fil A's drive thru to get him his favorite food...nuggets! All I had to do was pull in the parking lot and he screamed "Nuggets!" A boy after my own heart...loves his Chick fil A!

Aunt Heather gave Parker his first bubble bath bottle when Pierce was born. Well the first time we used it he got bubbles in his eyes so it took him awhile to want bubbles again. Now...he askes for bubbles every night! Good thing...he is entertained for at least 30 minutes. Bad thing...he doesn't want to share his bath with his brother. Ha!

Parker is really growing into a smart, handsome little boy. He says new words every day and his new thing now is singing songs. It just melts my heart to hear him sing "Jesus loves Me"! We love you Parker more than you will ever know and so does Jesus!:)

Parker and Pierce are really starting to interact with one another. Pierce loves to watch his big brother play and talk to him. I have to remind Parker to be gentle about every 5 seconds but it is so sweet to watch them interact. Pierce just smiles...it melts my heart!

My little guy just turned 3 months on Wednesday. He just gets more and more precious everyday! I could just stare into those beautiful eyes all the time. He is really starting to interact with us when we talk to him. He coos all the time and smiles! He sleeps every night from 9 until about 4-5am. He drinks around 5-5.5 oz every 3-4 hours. He recently likes to take naps on his belly or in his swing. Pierce never likes to be alone...he likes to watch what goes on especially when it involves Parker. I know this baby stage is going to go by so fast so I am trying to soak every minute in. I take those extra moments to sit and hold or rock him and of course lots of kisses! :)

My last week of maternity leave was upon me so I wanted to make my last week fun! My Mom and I took the boys to the Children's museum on Wednesday and then Parker had a playdate with Audrey on Thursday. It was a good way to end my week :(

July 4th Lake Weekend

Every 4th of July we go to Cedar Creek Lake and it is so much fun! This year was a little different because the water is so incredibly low we couldn't get in the lake nor was there a big firework show due to the burn ban. This is one HOT Texas summer!! Keirstin and I decided to get the kids all dressed up for a 4th of July photo shoot! This is my attempt with my 2 boys...

I Love VBS!

While on maternity leave I was able to teach VBS to a wonderful group of kids. Since I taught Parker was able to go to his own VBS class. He loved it!! He came home everyday with new paintings and colored pages. The best part for him was playing on the playground twice a day! This gave him a little glimpse of what pre-school will be like starting July 19th. I think he will do wonderful...at least I hope! I taught 4-5 year olds with Lindsey, Candace, Jill and BreAnne. We had a great week!

Pierce is 2 months!!

Well my baby is now 2 months old! He gets more precious everyday! I just can't get enough of that smile!!

Pierce now weighs 13.13lbs and is 26 1/2 inches long! He was in the 97 percentile for his height! He has been a big boy since birth! I hope he continues to stay at the top for height! He still eats about every 2-3 hours but is sleeping through the night!! I can't beat 9-5 sleep time!! Matt and I get a nice quiet evening when the two boys are asleep at the same time. Pierce is still strictly breastfed...so I hope and pray I can keep up with him when I go back to work *tear*. If not, I know that one formula bottle will not hurt him. Let it be known that I am a lot more relaxed with this child than I was with my first! Like my friend Sarah said..."Pierce might not get all the attention the first child did, or all the new toys and clothes but he will get "experienced" parents!" I try to remember this daily! Before I had Pierce I had the fear of not loving my second child as much as I did Parker, but everyone told me it would come naturally...and it did!! I am so in love with this little boy, my heart melts when he looks into my eyes and smiles!! I love you Pierce Matthew with all my heart!

Each month I am going to "try" and put Pierce in Parker's monthly outfit. That way I can really compare the two in looks and in size! So far...they look nothing alike, to me!

Today Olivia and Davis came over for a play date! We were so excited to get the boys together for the first time since Pierce arrived in this world!

First Parker was trying to share the baby toys...he had a difficult time grasping the concept even though he hasn't played with those toys in over a year! He will have to learn very quick as his brother approaches the "grabbing" stage!

Aunt Olivia met Pierce again...he was fussy today for some reason so this was not his best shot. For about 30 minutes we had all 3 boys asleep so we were able to visit! It was nice and quiet!!

While I was off work I wanted to take Parker to the zoo. He really likes naming animals and repeating their sounds. It was a perfect day to go because it was only about 80 degrees outside! Uncle Clint came along to help me with the boys.

Our first stop...the orangutans! Parker was so excited he wanted to see more! Unfortunately the monkeys were not out the day we went so that was a bummer!

Priceless...this was Pierce's face when we saw the Gorilla! Ha!

Life as a Two year old...

Things Parker is doing as a Two Year Old!

I mainly wanted to make this list so that we wouldn't forget this precious but trying stage he is at right now. I love going back to my previous posts to read his progress and little quirks throughout the year!

So here we go...

-Is attached to not one not two but 4 blankets when he goes nite nite...he calls them "blankem"
-Favorite stuffed animals: 2 monkeys, a bear, Elmo, and a duck (he has to put each one to bed each night)
-He likes to hide random things in different spots...surprisingly he can find them after a day or two
-He likes to have all the doors shut in the whole house, especially if we are hanging out in one particular room it has to be shut.
-Loves the Fresh Beat Band and Elmo (every morning!)
-Asks for milk as soon as his feet hit the floor in the morning
-loves his baby Pierce...he says it with a British accent as well as his own name :)
-loves to go to his GiGi's house...he even knows when we turn in her neighborhood
-gets into EVERYTHING but loves to re-organize
-when he picks up something he is not supposed to have I will ask for it and he will say "put back". He likes to feel like he did something right by putting it back where he got it.
-When we leave the room or the house he will say "Mamma right back" or "Daddy work"
-loves to play with blocks and cars...not so much to build or drive but to line them all up
-When he does something wrong he will respond "Sorry Mom" ...at that point how can I still be mad?!
-Gives me "Face"
-every meal is called lunch
-He can sing his ABC's in his own order
-he head butts...ouch!
-loves to wrestle and fight with this Daddy
-when you ask him to go to his room (b/c he's in trouble) he will say "I nice" sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't
-buries his head in the couch while I vacuum and can't wait until I am done to say "all done" ...this is his way of coping with the vacuum b/c he hates it
-says "Mamma shower" and then will run in to the bathroom to give me my towel when I am done
-will pick something up that he is not supposed to have and say "hurt you" i.e. scissors
-loves to "bock" meaning rock nite nite

Man I love this little boy! He is the most loving, energetic, precious boy. I can't imagine life without my Mr. P! Here's to another great year!

How is my little boy already 2??!! The past 2 years have absolutely flown by! Parker is just so much fun right now...even in the midst of the terrible two's! He is talking up a storm and will pretty much repeat anything you ask him to say! Everyday I am amazed at how much he is learning. Here is a glimpse at our Mr. P's "great day"!

Matt took Parker on a donut date that morning. He loved it!! This also gave Mommy time to catch up on some sleep!

He ate his favorite food for lunch...Chick fil A nuggets!

The theme of Parker's party was the Fresh Beat Band. He absolutely LOVES this show! He calls it the "Beat Beats". He makes us watch it first thing in the morning and right before bed. I think we know every song and episode that show has on air. It sure keeps his attention because he loves to dance!

Pierce is One month!

My little baby boy is already one month old! Time really does go by so fast when you are having fun!! We have had our ups and downs but we have had many more ups than downs. The only thing that has been hard is the sleepless nights followed by my early riser two year old. It's hard on this Mamma to stay awake! So I can't complain at all!! I love my 2 boys so much and it's going to be fun to watch them grow up together!

My handsome boy now weighs 10.12 lbs! I am proud to say that is all from breast milk! He has taken maybe 4 bottles in his lifetime. Those bottles were breast milk too but I had such a hard time at first with Parker I am just so happy that Pierce has gained so much strictly from nursing.

Looks like he wants to fly! :)

This is typical...Parker only can take him in his lap for so long and then he is done with his brother.

This Mother's Day was extra special for me! I celebrated with both of my boys!! :)

One afternoon we had craft time so Parker could make his Mother's day cards. He thought it was so fun!

Every day we let Parker hold Pierce for a little bit. He thinks it's the coolest thing! I think this has helped him bond with Pierce instead of a baby who has taken most of Mommy's time away.

We have had such a good time being at home all 4 of us! Parker had tons of presents for being a new big brother and he was loving them! One of his big presents was this train. Labor Story

Finally the day had arrived April, 20th 2011!!! The day we would meet our second little miracle! I was induced so they scheduled me to go into the hospital at 4:30am. A little too early I must say...but who sleeps the night before anyways :) It took them about an hour to get us all checked in and me hooked up to all kinds of stuff.

At 5:30 they started my pitocin. Right then things took a turn that had us scared to death. The pitocin had jumped started my contractions so quickly that I had a prolonged contraction that made the baby's heartbeat drop to 60 for 7 minutes. All I remember was that Matt had stepped out of the room for one minute and when he came back like 10 nurses filed in after him with worried looks on their faces. They had me tossing and turning every which away to try and get a better reading on the baby's heartbeat and nothing was changing. They hooked me up to oxygen and was prepping me for an emergency c-section. I was terrified. I just knew that our baby was OK and didn't understand why this was happening. I understood that if I had to go through a c-section for the health of my baby then I would have done it no questions asked, but I was nearly one minute away when the baby came through and the heartbeat started going back up. The Lord was on our side the whole time! :) After that scare things went so well and FAST!

Due to the scare in the beginning they had to put an internal monitor on the baby's head to get a more accurate reading of the heartbeat. I actually liked this monitor better because you could hear the little heartbeat so clear. I wasn't constantly worried beause I could just hear it and knew things were still ok. After they broke my water my body pretty much started labor on it's own using very little pitocin. Above is a picture obviously before my epidural!

The night before our sweet baby was born we wanted to spend every minute we could as the 3 of us before dropping Parker off at my Mom's house. First we went out to eat at Prespa's and had Parker's favorite food...pizza! Then we came home so Matt could give him a bath and do what they do best these days...wrestle!

Carousel Ride with GiGi

First Stair Bust!

On Sunday we went out to Southlake to celebrate Matt's birthday. Parker was having a blast playing with his cousins until he got hurt...

He took his first fall down the stairs. He was trying to follow his cousin Kenzie and got too excited. He went to turn away from her, to run I am sure, when he took the big plunge.

Thank goodness he was ok!! I was paniced when it first happened but he was soon back to his normal self.

Then we got home after a long day of playtime and he was pooped! His bruise looks a lot better today. I just hope it goes away before baby #2 arrives! Poor little guy!

Parker's Favorite Things

Parker has this obsession with gathering all his favorite things in the morning to curl up and watch his favorite shows. All of these things plus more go to bed with him everynight in his toddler bed. How this child has room to sleep is beyond me! His Daddy also gets him a glass of milk first thing when he wakes up...so he is in heaven! This is just a sneak peak at what our mornings look like.

We made up this game a couple of weeks ago to where I ask him "Give me Face" and he gives me this face. We just get the biggest kick out of his little personality!

If Parker got to choose one thing he would like to do each day (besides watching "Fresh Beat Band" and "Elmo") it would be to play outside. That boy LOVES to be outside so he can RUN free! Matt was off work a few days this week so they had some time to...just be boys!

33 weeks and Announcing...

I am now 33 weeks as of today! I can't believe we will meet our baby in just a short 5-6 weeks! So far I have been feeling great with just a few discomforts. The baby sits on my sciatic nerve at times and it takes my breath away it hurts so bad. My hands are starting to go numb at the most inappropriate times and I am officially waddling! This baby is VERY low therefore I get asked all the time..."are you sure you only have 5 weeks left?"! My answer: "Yes, this baby has been low since day 1"

Heartbeat continues to be around 138-140. My belly is measuring 2 weeks early so I looked back at my pregnancy with Parker and the same thing was happening with my first pregnancy. If my calculations are correct I will have this baby around tax day or around my Aunt Teresa's birthday!

We cannot WAIT to meet this sweet little face and to know if he/she is going to be........................

Yes, we finally decided on names! Yahoo!! My bags are semi packed with these little outfits all ready to go! Anyone want to make a guess whether the baby is a Pierce or a Kendal? I think God everyday for this little one in my belly and know that HE has the perfect plan for our family, whether it's a boy or a girl! SO....let the countdown begin!!! :)

Elmo Live!

About 5 months ago I saw on Facebook that Elmo Live was coming to the Metroplex! I immediately got online and bought tickets! I knew this would be a great event for us to take Parker too before the baby arrived. I was right...he LOVED it! Parker doesn't sit still and for 1 1/2 hours he didn't move! He danced in his seat and kept pointing to the characters. We were so glad he enjoyed it! It was our first "big show" as a family and it was a blast! We can't wait to do more things like this as a family of soon to be 4!! :)

Parker at 22 months!

Parker is now approaching 22 months! I can't believe how much he changes daily. I have been terrible about keeping up with my blog so it seems I have a lot to journal about so I don't forget! I am not sure how much he actually weighs because we don't go to the doctor until May. I am assuming he is right at or a little under 30lbs. He loves his big boy bed and is doing MUCH better about staying in it all night and at naptime. I am so thankful we moved him early so that he knows his room and not the nursery as his room.

Excuse the mess on his shirt he has been learning how to use a spoon and fork without help so there have been some messy mealtimes! :) He is doing much better with them and actually would prefer to use utensils instead of his hands. As you can see in this picture he loves trying on our shoes!

Parker is a VERY busy little boy! I don't think he stops for one second of the day unless he is eating or sleeping. He absolutley loves to be outside! His favorite show right now is the Fresh Beat Band because he loves to dance! It's the cutest thing when he wants to watch it, he will come up and say "please" while doing please in sign language and then he start dancing. It's funny how you learn to understand what your toddler is saying by just motions!

Words he says: Elmo (it was "mamo" until this week, now it's "elmo"), please, no (to almost every question you ask him), all done (when he is done with his food or he wants me to be done doing something he doesn't like i.e. vaccuming). He says "meow" when you ask him what sound a cat makes. He says "more", "there it is", "Rolo", "Mom", "Da", "Night Night", "Bath", "boat", and "Hi". He knows where all his body parts are and can say "eyes, nose, mouth, and teeth". He has learned the letters "A and B" to where he can recognize them and say them out loud.

In this picture he was pretending this toy was a train so he was saying "cho choo". Parker loves to color and play match up the colors game. For example he will put yellow legos in a yellow bowl, red legos in a red bowl, so on and so forth. We are so proud of him with how much he is learning!! Now if we could just teach him how to be gentle before the baby gets here we will be in good shape! :)

Miss Audrey Lane celebrated her 2nd birthday on Saturday at Little Gym. Parker had so much fun running around acting like a little monkey. It was a perfect outing to get his energy out!

He was asking the girl in his language to let him slide down...

Matt's Mom, Dian, had saved a bunch of his clothes from when he was a toddler. We decided one weekend to see if they fit and...they did perfectly! Parker loved dressing up in his Daddy's old clothes, especially the BOOTS! :)

My Little Organizer!

Parker loves to organize! Whenever we get home he spends about 15 minutes in the pantry re-organizing this shelf. Funny thing about it is that he always wants the door shut. I constantly have to open it and tell him to leave it alone. He then comes behind me and shuts the door.

Wonder where he gets his "organizational skills"? LOL. Take note where his blanket is...I found him on top of that shelf shortly after this picture. Needless to say he was done organizing for the day! :)

It's Cold Outside!

Today a ice/snow storm hit the Metroplex. I did have to go into work but I went in a little late. The roads were pretty bad to say the least. Before we left the warm house Matt wanted to take a couple of pictures of our snuggle bug. He always has to have BOTH of these blankets when he wakes up. Why two?...who knows :)

He loved that Reeses and Rolo where both in the cage. They normally do not stay in there together, however, since it was so cold we didn't want them staying outside.

Just being silly...

Not too much longer until this little guy becomes a BIG brother!! We can't wait!!

26 weeks!

I was supposed to go to the doctor on Thursday, however I got a phone call on Monday (my day off) telling me he had an emergency surgery Thursday morning. So I decided to go on my day off instead of working around my work schedule. I am 26 weeks today but my uterus is measuring 30 weeks. I looked back at my blog with Parker and this happened around my 29th week with him. So all this means is the baby could come earlier in April than the original date of April 26th!! I have a sonogram scheduled in February to check my placenta so we will get a better look then. The baby's heartbeat was around 137.

I need to start setting the nursery up, wash sheets and blankets, hang stuff on the walls. I think I have a longer list than I originally thought! I better get to work...this pregnancy has FLOWN by! We can't wait to see if Parker is going to have a baby brother to wrestle with or a little sister to take care of!

Parker and I took a quick trip to Round Rock, TX to visit our best buds. Heather and I couldn't wait to get the boys together because it was the first time since Parker's been walking that they have played together. Let's just say they had a blast together!

It was also the first time I got to meet sweet Laney! She is precious! She is 3 months and weighs 9 lbs, but she is so long she feels so much lighter! Look at her cute pj's I got her before she was born. They say "Off to Aunties" :)

We were adventurous and decided to take the kids to the mall. I wanted to run into Motherhood Maternity and then they had a play area for the boys to play. Before we left we gave the boys a snack. I had Parker's in his diaper bag but when he saw that Brooks had his he decided to dig his out so he could be just like him...so cute! It was a sight to see with 2 boys, a baby and one on the way walking around the mall.

Brooks and Parker had fun hiding in the Caterpillar tent. It was a quick trip but a fun one for sure! Parker did so well with Laney too! He learned how to be quiet around a baby and how to put the pacifier in her mouth. Maybe he is ready for his brother or sister...we will see soon! :)

This Christmas was so much fun for us! Santa came to our house for the first time and Parker had a blast!

Today I had my second sonogram for baby #2! For name purposes we will call him/her Baby F! Baby F was full of energy (could have been the orange juice I drank before hand) and very healthy! The heartbeat was around 138. Baby F weighs 1lb and is 10inches long...growing right on schedule. For those who are wondering we did not find out the sex. I looked at Matt and said "Do you want to know?" and he smiled and shook his head "No". Now that think back to my appointment I am glad we waited. The moment Parker was born is just still so fresh in our minds, and the emotions we felt that day were so indescribable we want to have that moment again with Baby #2. Baby F was playing with his/her feet and moving his/her hands all over the place...it was so cute! The doctor said I do have a low lying placenta that they will need to check again in a month or so, so we will get to see our little munchkin again before delivery!

We only have about 4 months left after the holidays. It seems like this pregnancy is FLYING by! Even though I get so busy every day/week I still stop and think how beyond blessed we are to have Parker and now God has blessed us again with another precious child. We couldn't be happier!!! Baby F...Mommy, Daddy and your Big Brother Parker can't wait to meet you!!!

I turned 20 weeks today and I am feeling great! I am starting to feel the baby move a little each day. I don't have any statistics yet but when I have my appointment on the 20th I will post them. Here I am at the half way point! I can't believe it...this time has gone by SOO fast!

Any guesses on what sex the baby is??? Any name suggestions? LOL....we are having a HARD time in this department.
