Parker's Playdate

Today we went over to Amanda's Mom's house for a play date with our babies. We had so much fun watching them interact! Audrey is 11 months old so Parker was watching her crawl all over the house. I hope he picked up on some moves ;) Linda bought them both bubbles so they had a great time catching them. It was a great day for both the babies and for us girls to catch up!

Audrey talking to Parker...so cute!
Parker doesn't get to be around other babies very often so he was checking her out ;)

The proud Mamma's!

Man it's hard to get a decent picture with two little ones. This is the best we could do!

Audrey with her Mamaw and Parker with his GiGi!

Switched kids to see if the picture taking process would be any easier...

I love this picture!

Playing with bubbles! Where did they go??

8 months old!

8 months...already??!! I know I say this every month but I believe this month was the fastest yet! He is growing and changing everyday!! I was looking at him in my rear view mirror this week on my way to work and thought to myself "man he has grown...he looks like a toddler"! It brought tears to my eyes!

This past month he has become more independent and more stubborn. He likes to feed himself puffs, bananas, peas, or pretty much anything I put on his tray. He likes to drink out of "big boy" cups and if I take it away he screams. He notices me coming in the door after work and gets really excited which totally makes my day! Parker loves his "DaDa"! He LOVES telephones and if he gets a hold of one he jabbers really loud. It is adorable! He plays very well with his toys. If he wants to get from point A to B he falls over and rolls to get to his destination. Matt taught him how to splash water in the bathtub and Gramps (my Dad) taught Parker how to click his tongue.

Lately he has been teething therefore his mood sometimes turns on a dime. There has been a couple of nights where the pain has woken him up. I wish those top teeth would just come on out!
If he wants something or you take something away he starts screaming and arching his back. All in all he is a very happy baby and we couldn't ask for a better little boy. It's crazy to think he will be one in a couple of months. Happy 8 months Parker...we love you so much!

Parker in his cute new Adidas outfit!

The King of our House!

I had to take pictures of this cute little guy in his new pj's!

"what Mom"?

This is really funny because he is learing that my camera has a flash before the picture is taken so he squints his eyes everytime he sees it in front of my face!

Christmas in January!

Since we went to Colorado for Christmas Parker didn't get to have Christmas with his Nana and Aunts. This past week we went over to my Mom's and had dinner and presents! We had such a good time talking and playing with Parker's new toys!

Parker loved the wrapping on the presents!
4 weeks makes a difference on how interested he was with the presents compared to Christmas.
Yummy bow!

Aunt Teresa got him a photo book (he loves looking at pictures these days) and a CUTE Adidas outfit! Thanks Aunt Teresa!
Auntie Sharon got him a boom box and some nursery rhyme Cd's. He loves to listen to music! Thanks Aunt Sharon!
Nana got him his first car! He can sit on it or stand and push it. This will come in handy when he starts walking! Thanks Nana he loves it!
It was sad not seeing everyone on Christmas Day but it was fun getting together with just us girls! Parker loved all the attention too!

The Lonely Chair

The days are over sitting in this chair. Sometimes I miss it, sometimes I don't. I had to take a picture of this special place...the janitor's closet. You see it's not just the janitor's closet at work, it was my pumping station. Everyday for 5 months, August thru December, I sat in this closet from 10:30-11:00 and 2:00-2:30 pumping milk. It was my quiet time. A time where I could block out everything going on that day and think about my baby. After Christmas I decided to only feed Parker in the mornings and at night. I wasn't pumping enough during the day to keep up with his demand. Pumping is a lot of work and time consuming. I had a love/hate relationship with the pump. The only thing that got me through that many months of pumping was knowing my baby needed me. It was my gift to him for as long as I could keep up. I hope to keep breastfeeding until he turns one. I often think about how our routine will change after we are through breastfeeding and it kind of makes me sad. But for now I will enjoy it while I can! So even though it wasn't the nicest place to sit and pump it still meant a lot that I was able to do this day in and day out for that long. I will miss you chair...
See the boxes...that was my "prop" for my pump to sit on ;)

Girls Weekend

Last weekend me and my college friends met up in Coppell at Olivia's house. It has been almost a year since all of us have hung out together. It was so good to see them. Between jobs, babies, families and just everyday life it gets harder and harder for us to meet up. Parker came with me the first half of the day while Matt worked. He loved seeing all the girls and especially Mia (Liv's dog). Every year we do a Christmas gift exchange so this year we decided to do a "kitchen gadget" theme. We put all the gifts in the middle of the room and did a Chinese gift exchange. Here is a picture of what everyone picked.

After Parker left with Matt we all went out to eat Hibachi! It was delicious! I love watching them make the food!

The SFA sisters...only Ash is sporting the Lumberjack sign...Ha! A creepy guy who was sitting at our table took this picture. I swear he listened to every conversation we were having! After dinner I had to go home because Parker wasn't feeling well. I hated that I missed out on the slumber party but I am so glad I got to see them for the day! We always have a good time and laugh really hard when we are together! Love you girls!

Rolling Around!

Parker is now rolling all over the floor! He thinks it's so fun to get from one end of the room to the other. I am hoping he will begin crawling soon! Tonight he was rolling over in the living room just jabbering away. He is obsessed with phones right now, so if you give him his play phone he will get really loud! ;) This is such a fun age!!!
Hi Mommy ;)

Look at me!

"Hey I can't roll with my toy in the way!"

Parker is wondering what that is on his sleeve! Don't worry he was only sitting there for a split second by himself ;)

I LOVE this picture of Parker and Kenzie, or as Kenzie calls him "Parkie".
So this concludes our pictures of the trip. We had a great time relaxing and hanging out with family. We watched movies, played cards and explored the town. We will hopefully go back to Telluride again someday!
